OrganOlive, I'm afraid it's true:
From page 9 of the latest "Medicines, Ethics, &Practice" booklet, july 2009:
"Pharmacists who registered with the RPSGB by virtue of a qualification in Pharmacy awarded in a relevant European State, are not able to be the Pharmacist in personal control of premises in Great Britain that have been registered as a Pharmacy for less than three years."
So, basically, us EU pharmacists can't work in most of the 100-hour pharmacies, as they haven't existed for more than 3 years.
It doesn't matter whether you've been on the Register for 7 days or 70 years, you still won't be able to work everywhere where a UK-qualified pharmacist, fresh out of a UK Uni, will( But you still have to pay the same retention fee!)!(
