Much of it makes very little sense, does it. All piecemeal legislation, and none of it put together at any time. Part of the reason we need a new Medicines Act; to tidu up a lot of these anomalies.
I believe RPSGB's been looking for it for some time, but there's always "no legislative time"!
The comment about why he three year rule was right though. At the time it was introduced, Control of Entry was very new and significant on people's radar. There's been a lot of movements of surgeries, and consequent moves by pharmacists to get close to the new developments.
One result of that has been some very cramped pharmacies!
