So true dizzyb re: 'wine flu' seems to be affecting one colleague in particular 1-2 times a week.

Fortunately we haven't had anyone in our branch off with swine flu.

We've been lucky so far also Razorbk....Although, I think we've had a few customers wandering in that looked as though they were just starting with H1N1!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish people would just stay in bed when they are unwell.

As for me, I can feel a case of Red Wine Flu coming on this weekend.....

the fact is people do become ill now and again. I suppose it is a matter of trust aswell. Also what level of illness would mean you could stay off work.

Having the swine flu would definitely mean stay away from work, or would you rather they come in to work and infect the rest of the workforce one by one so so left with no staff?

I think what we mean is that some folk use the latest bug "doing the rounds" as an excuse. Genuine illnesses are a fact of life as we are all fully aware after working in Pharmacy for twenty plus years........
The sickness levels in our branch are so high, the area manager has given up on us. It happens. We are all only human after all.
