So true, I had no idea how many until they changed the rules so that everybody needs a photo to apply for their gun licence. Great for business. We have taken hundreds, in a single rural pharmacy, ranging from fellows with a single shotgun they've had for years that is more a family heirloom than anything else to fanatics with dozens of guns of various types (except handguns which are illegal).
Strangely we haven't taken one photo for a woman getting a gun licence so Irish women must trust their menfolk to defend them or prefer other methods.
