Always has been. They couldn't care less about those of us in the sticks. Everything is organised on the incorrect assumption that you are close to all services and can easily access them by public transport. Try explaining that it isn't quite like that.

I wouldn't live in Dublin either. When I have to go there I can't wait to get out of it again.

I was staying at Jurys when my car was stolen and trashed in Crumlin. After that, I made up a red number plate which I put on when parked overnight to disguise that I was from UK. Also stayed at the Killiney Court where I could watch the sun rise from the sea.

Think those Crumlin joyriders don't just steal UK cars so be careful in Dublin. Much better to stay in the quiet country spots and see the real Ireland.

Yeh..it's becoming a bit scary! We're OK so far as we're quite elevated. Here are a few pics of South Clare and the Shannon bridges near Limerick...

Wow. Hadn't heard about flooding in Eire at all. How parochial our news coverage is.

Village I live in was an island for 2 days
Luckily the benefit of living on a mountain meant the house wasn't affected, but within 20 mins drive of us there was a lot of serious flooding.

    I got a day's locum this month !!! Go me !!!

One day in a month? How are you coping? This blog of mine is what this is all about. Apparently HSE are intent on reducing the number of Community Pharmacies in Ireland to 1,000 in order to save money, yet they're perfectly happy to still pay some 'happy as I am, who needs professional development' GPs half a million each to prescribe out-of-date drugs (most of which are so antiquated they're unavailable) to a 'grateful' population. ALL WRONG....
