Marketing in Industrial pharmacy

Hello everyone,

I am still at student at school, but looking far into my future. So I am willing to study pharmacy in the UK , but still do not know where it may take me.

As I heard, there is a possibility to work in industry, in a company maybe, where marketing - product managemnt, introduction to the market - is available. ( I find this profession very attractive)

Maybe anyone knows what path should I follow to achieve this position?

BTW, after browsing a few forums, I saw that some other degrees like MBA is required for a position like this.


So , I hope that someone understood what I was trying to say and can help a little.

Take my advice and stay away.... not worth the risk, pressure and the stress i am having at the moment.
your problem guys is non of you is keeping up to date with the current situation in the UK. being a foreigner, you should look into more details before thinking ' hey i am coming for education, then work....etc '. you have been cautioned...... please do not ask me why....
anyway good luck...

I have recently heard that it is a tolerable and solid niche. However, you have some experience out there, so you got my attenion.

everything will be great until you gradute and no longer a student..... then you will be dealt with by the home office as a forigner who is here to take the jobs and make money out of it. simply it is a problem with getting a work permit, not finding a job. things will get worse in the future..
have a look at facebook, 15% of all UK pharmacy graduates are in the same boat this year.

So this new law has influence on every new pharmacist trying to graduate from a UK university/ applying for a pre-registration year or just only the ones', linked to industry ?

If every pharmacist, then there is no point in going to study to the UK, for pharmacy.

And Raoul, what is your situation now ? I reckon you're also a foreigner?

I have been skimming through a few forums and I found that this law is applied to international students but not to students from the EU?

well your location is lithuania, so you do not need to worry about such laws, all the borders are open for ya mate.

So which bit doesn't apply, you are foreign, you want to take a job, and you would hope to make money from that job.

Why should a student visa allow you to automatically have a work permit?
