Re: Retail to Industry pharmacist, should i do it?
I dropped from £1,400 to £900. On same ratio, you would go down to £24k.
However, I gained a car and expense account and was able to locum at weekends and an evening during the week.
Re: Retail to Industry pharmacist, should i do it?
3-5 years, assuming the person won't be made redundant due to the move of industrial companies abroad. one of my ex-landlords is an industrial pharmacist working in the UK. he enjoys a very good overall package, but he has been in the business for years.

Thanks Raoul.
Another question: So you take the cut from £37K to £24K. How many evenings weekends would you need to locum in order to make up that deficit?
I know thats a simple calc if you knew the average pay etc, which i dont know! I am just started pre reg...Your help is appreciated.

23 quid/hour
depends from an area to another, if you are in london or birmingham, it could be as low as 20/19. some places you can get 25 quid/hour easily. also depends on time of the year, summer time, plenty of work, comes winter and locuming gets harder in some places.
