A few years ago I was wandering around a well known chain when I saw somebody wearing a badge proclaiming that he was a 'consultant pharmacist'. He looked about 18 to me, but at my age it isn't just the policemen who are getting younger. I was very tempted to 'consult' with him but he seemed miserable enough without me having some fun at his expense.

Although, the posts are few and far between, you don't actually need a clinical diploma for a role in a hospital manufacturing unit. I had 5 years experience in Community and 5 years in unlicensed medicines manufacturing and fortunately got a band 8 job in pharmacy production. However as I say these opportunitites are rare.
