As I was using the search option to see whether or not there are some pharmacist/technician working in clinical trials and the search result was not very successful, I tought I may just ask and see how many there are.
Question:
Anyone working in clinical trials?
Plus:
What are your usual information sources? (kept general on purpose)
I was working on submitting applications for a clinical trial to MHRA, ethics committee and R&D site approvals.
I was often doing a lot of the CRAs work, since the site was initiated however I have not really been involved and am now only a contact for pharmacovigilance and insurance claims
It was an interesting challenge, but somehow felt I was in the wrong place. While my boss is a pharmacist and more actively involved in the area, the other pharmacists in the company are involved in QA and product licence submissions. I agree with a comment from johnep that clinical research is best left to the pure scientists, despite how much you can claim pharmacy to be an applied science rather than a branch of medicine
There are pharmacists/technicians working in clinical trials in most trusts now. Why do you ask?
Information sources - depends on what information you are after!!
