As a pre-reg I've found many of the doctors I've spoken to very likeable and friendly and appreciate the advice the pharmacy team provides. I'd like to think there was mutual respect for the role pharmacists play in hospital - I've seen doctors querying drugs and appropriate doses with the ward pharmacist I've been working with on many occasions, so they do recognise and respect the niche where pharmacists work.

i get along well with drs in my area, they are happy to be questioned on their prescribing and often will actively seek me out for advice on dosing or drugs to use. They often listen to my advice and often make a compromise. I'd like to tthink th respect me...well they do otherwise they wouodn't listen or talk to me!
That is nice to hear. Are you only in contact with docs, or you also have interaction with patients?
And do you maybe know what is role of oncology pharmacist in pracitice ?
thx for comments
Patient contact ? Think I read something about that recently -
why did you choose community pharmacy.
Googling oncology pharmacist gave this:

its not just doctors, its whoever is on the ward at the time i'm there..receptionists, cleaners, nurses, patients, relatives, drs, physios, dieticians, chat to anyone and everyone!
In practice, is there any difference between clinical pharmacist and clinical pharmacologist?
The former has a pharmacy degree, the latter doesn't.

I meant in practice. I know that clinical pharmacist has pharmacy dilpoma and pharmacologist is MD beacuse job description looks too similar to me. Have you seen these two specials work together in some hospital?
Never come across a clinical pharmacologist in hospital - would've thought they would be based primarily doing clinical research.
