Community pharmacist wanting to do a clinical diploma for future hopes!!

It's most definitely a rarity. All the other Pharmacists in the Manufacturing unit do have diplomas as they have been in hospital since pre reg. I was recruited thanks to my previous manufacturing and regulatory experience but I don't think I know another band 8 anywhere without a diploma

If you do a Clinical Diploma as a band 6 and get promoted to a band 7 then how do you get promoted to a band 8 and likewise keep moving up the band 8 ladder? Are further qualifications necessary? MSc? PhD?
