    Hi all,
Just wondered what your views were on the importance of e-procurement in the NHS and how you think it would help (or not) when sourcing unlicensed meds?

As few hospital computers allow access to net, no help at all.

    Hi John,
Why would it be no help? Am interested to understand the reasons.
    Thanks

If you have to connect to the internet, but have no access, then cannot be of help.
    You are assuming that:
    1) All people have a computer connected to the internet
    2) They know how to use it.
Computers in pharmacy are used for labelling. Many staff have no computer of their own and no idea how to use one other than for generating labels.
Companies were always wanting you to use their info etc discs on your computer. However, most companies forbid the use of any other software than that provided.

Government has same fanciful notion that computers and internet usage are universal.
