Can anybody tell me if student pharmacy technicians, doing their BTECH + NVQ3 (hospital course), pay as much tax as other pharmacy employees? I know they get paid some % of band 4 but just wondering how much tax (monthly) is deducted from their wage.

Will be in line with standard allowances. IR not concerned with what you are doing, just how much you are earning. When I was an apprentice, I still paid tax on £250/year. Supertax started at £2,000/yr in those days.

You are still earning, therefore you pay tax......
