pharmacists sit at the pharmacist desk just day dreaming or surfing the web.

Be honest how many pharmacists sit at the pharmacist desk just day dreaming or surfing the web. Ideally once you’ve screened the tto’s etc you really should help out a little with dispensing or checking. Few good ones do, but the rest just have a gossip and do jack all.
After all, your there for the patients right….or is that just what the big wigs say to us little folk.
I don’t really care if it’s not in your contracts. You should really work as a team. Help out when not busy. What surprised me was the bigwig chief at my last place did, where as the other 2 deputy chiefs did jack all with helping out. I guess they’re above all that.

One of the staff who does all my surfing for me here at work, woke me up from my afternoon nap to show me this thread. Personally, can't see what all the fuss is about.

It's not our fault that we are fast and efficient and get our jobs done quickly. If other people are not as efficient as us then why should we make up for their inadequacies? They will never speed up if someone else bails them out all the time.

The good ol support staff vs pharmacist argument...

I have always found that support staff slack in the morning whilst the workload slowly picks up and the pharmacists slack in the afternoon when they have covered their wards or covered their screening slot. Do the support staff and pharmicists start and finish at the same time? If yes then whats the problem...
