    I think you need to go back to school if you do not know what laevo and dextro mean in chemistry.

    Sorry what i dont get is the part of losing money, is that because one is expensier than other one? thanks kenko

    Citalopram is a generic and cheap. The other is only available as the branded product and is expensive.
    If Citalopram prescribed and escitalopram dispensed, the govnmt would only pay for the generic and thus the pharmacy would lose money. If you are the pt then of little matter to you. (except all has to come out the public purse)
