Default "aqueous Cream"

Hello all, this is Joe from Boston. Had one of your ex-pats who now lives here looking for something called "Aqueous Cream". I've googled the product and pretty much figured out that it's basically an oil-in-water emulsion cream. However, I cannot find or think of any similar product available here in the states. The only thing we have is hydrated petrolatum, which of course is the opposite, being a water-in-oil emulsion, and therefore pretty greasy. Does anyone know anything about availability, or any particular trade names it sells under that might make my search easier?

I can give you a formula:
Aqueous cream bp:
R/ Emulsifying ointment BP 30g
Phenoxyethanol 1g
Freshly boiled & cooled puriied water to 100g.

Emulfifying ointment BP:
R/ Emulsifying wax 30% w/w
liquid paraffin 20% w/w
White soft paraffin 50% w/w

Hope this helps!

Aqueous cream is the first emollient tried because it is cheap, then come all the ethicals and schering plough Diprobase is very popular. I understand it is very similar to cetomacrogol cream formula A. Next comes dermal doublebase which has fascinating rheological properties behaving like a gel.
Aqueous cream can cause allergic reactions in some people.
