Paludrine/Avloclor Anti-Malarial Travel Pack Resistance question

    Hello

I just wanted some information about Paludrine/Avloclor Anti-Malarial Travel Pack. In the travel pack it contains Paludrine and chloroquine drugs, if you take a country for example rural parts of Yeman which are resistance to chloroquine, why would you give them this treatment? Whats is the relevance of the chloroquine?

Any information would be much appreciated

    Regards

Yemen (Middle East) - Fit For Travel

    and another, http://www.traveldoctor.co.uk/asia.htm#3rdd

These are sites for advice. In view of current problems, best to avoid Yemen if possible.

Paludrine/Avochlor given together, act in synergy and help to avoid resistance strains. According to the resistance maps, Yemen should be clear at moment, but it is close to the resistant region and war/civil unrest always spreads malaria.
