To be honest I would go with Morning time, as SSRI's could interfere with sleep. Whatare you taking it for, anxiety disorder or Depression? There's often a co-morbidity between the two.

I've seen drug charts and prescriptions with morning doses for some patients and night time doses for others. Has it been prescribed at night by your doc ?

Hi well today I got precribed propranohol to take along side my citalopram as i have extra stress at work at moment. i have been on citalopram for a year now and always take it in morning. I asked my gp if i should take it at night and she said it dont matter- day or night! But with taking propranohol now i wondered if it would be better taking citalopram at night, as propranohol use to make it harder to sleep.

Yeah, Propranolol may give you nightmares, thus making it harder to sleep. I would just take the two together in the morning for convenience sake.

Depends on dose and frequency of propranolol of course, ie once daily, twice daily, MR etc

Seeing as how you only got the propranolol today it probably wouldn't be best to take three tabs in one go. Perhaps you could speak to your GP and see if they could reduce the frequency. It may help with the sleep symptoms but it still could affect sleep.

30mg is a pretty low daily dose of Propranolol so you might not encounter any sleep disturbances, but If you did, you could reduce to 20mg or 15mg or whatever dose adequately controls your symptoms.

breakfast lunch and tea should be fine for the propranolol, as for citalopram as logn as you are consistent with it, shouldn't matter whether you take it morning noon or night
