Thrush

Hi

had a course of pencillin and got thrush, took canesten oral but still had thrush, so 6 days later used the canesten pessary and now 3 days later I still have thrush, does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of it.

Also I am going into hospital next week for a bladder repair, will I be able to have the op if I cant get rid of the thrush.

I would suggest you visit the GP to see if you really have thrush, or whether it is a bacterial infection.

You've tried the two different anti-thrush treatments obviously without success, therefore referral would be the most appropriate action.

In my experience, surgeons are very unlikely to operate if you are showing signs of infection - however I haven't worked with every surgeon
