okay 100% agreed I will not risk takng propranolol, and its a valid point mentioning that benzodiazepine dependence and withdrawal won't be a problem in my situation. I want to stress the fact that I'm not going to use any information you have given me here to try and manipulate my GP.
I will probably get some diazepam. I'd like something like buspirone but with immediate anxiolytic effect, is there such a drug?

It will be good when they bring out a non peptide agonists for the oxytocin receptor, I think they would work really well in treating social anxiety...

Only if you have an injection. Taking under the tongue may speed things up a bit. Diazepam suppositories are used to treat epileptic pts.

No. Buspirone isn't usually very effective anyway.

Response to diazepam is very variable. 1mg may be sufficient for some people whereas 10mg may be inadequate for others. You will need to test your response beforehand to ensure that you know what dose to take. If anxiety is severe, the sedative effect will be less.

How many job interviews you've lined up down the line to worry about long use and addiction? Just convince yourself that the people who'll judge you have flaws as well and we were all born equal, that we wore the same huggies before they got lucky and were in the right place at the right time to get a job that will let them decide if you will be in the right place at the right time...
