I'm not sure you need to take dianette at the same time every day.

I can't find any problem about taking Levonelle with erythromycin.

I would want to ask some questions of those people who didn't supply it. Basically I don't believe them. Hopefully someone out there will point out if I'm mistaken: I haven't come across this yet in practice. CPD opportunity!

Levonelle can mess your periods up. If you are more than 5 days late you need a pregnancy test.

Condom splits: I think they can be down to getting oil on the condom, not just the clicheed baby oil scenario, but also hand creams, oily soaps, bath oils. You need to take real care that there is no oil in contact with the latex.

provided you have not missed more than 2 days (that is 3 or more pills) and you have been on the antibiotic more than a month then the contraceptive effect is still there according to the source

Levonelle is a POP (different group compared to Dianette which is a COC) erythromycin which is not thought to be a liver enzyme inducer should not affect Levonelle efficacy

and yes, any different to next due period (lighter, heavier, more than 5 days late) you should consult a doctor or a pregnancy dip check; see doctor if you vomit or has diarhhoea within 3 hours

I was under the impression that COCs/antibiotics was due to the antibis messing with the gut bacteria, which perform part of the oestrogen cycle, sending levels wobbly and not to be trusted. Hence not trusting the week after the antibiotic course has finished, as the bacterial levels change again.

This would not affect Levonelle.
