not sure how the system works in scotland regarding the drug tariff - distalgesic is blacklisted in england too. However distalgesic can be readily supplied against a co-prox script if it's prescribed using the generic name in england.
I think the same applies to a few other drugs too eg laxoberyl (before it became dulco-lax liquid) could only be supplied if written generically.
