Can Diprobase ointment be substituted for the cream?
Called up the DI dept at Schering Plough but could not get a definitive answer , employee was yapping on about the viscosity of the cream etc
From my p'ceutics experience I thot one was water-based whilst the other oily-based
The script called for diprobase (form not stated) to be used as a soap substitute and emollient, wasn't too sure whether the ointment could be used as a soap substitute or not
I know emulsifying ointment can be used as a soap substitute but its not that oily
Anyone out there who knows the answer, or would it be best to ask the GP to change script to something else....say cetraben?
Thanks in advance; sorry if the answer is obvious!

is it because of the knock on effects from the packaging refresh of the pumps?
