Hi DizzyB23,
I am well aware of the current situation but here in Italy the situation is not very different and as Johnep pointed out, English is the second language for most of all non English-native speakers.
You are also right when saying that the prospective employers are attracted by experienced workers, in fact almost everybody require a previous experience as a UK pharmacist, however I am sure there must be some place where the experienced pharmacist would not want to work, because too distant from his family ... in fact if you look for vacancies in the Boots Spotlight Locator you will see that there are certain areas such as Cornwall or the North of Scotland that still have many vacancies that I've been told are not very appealing because "too far from everything" and not enough local pharmacists (also due to second-home owners that have forced many people out of their counties).
