    Canada or USA

Hello. Does anyone have any old FPGEE reference books/CDS for sale? I have been thinking about going to North America in the future for a better quality of life/decent salary. I think there is more of a shortage in Canada but US has a rapidly growing and aging population. As the pound is stronger than dollar should be able to get a nice house. I think Canada is a safer country. What do other people think?

Generally salaries in US/Canada are double those of UK and house prices are halved. Visit US sites, links on the forum somewhere.

Probably least likely to have a gun pulled on you in Canada.
Where am I?; In the Pharmacy.
Who are you?; The new Number 2.
Who is number 1?; You are number 6.
    What do you want?;..................

I have had a gun pulled on me on two occasions.
    1) Crossing the border near Monaghan in NI.
    2) Lost in Miami, I pulled into a gas station to ask directions. Just wound down the window and a pump action shotgun was poking me in the ribs. Apparently I had approached from the wrong direction and they thought I was another raider. Very helpful after they heard my accent.

Oh wow that must have been scary! Ya Canada does seem as a safer and better place to work as a pharmacist but I heard that in the US the salary is higher and there are more jobs available. Especially now with waterloo pharmacy been opened in ontario, I think there will be more competition going on and less chance of getting a job.

I think the fear of crime is worse than the crime itself in the US.

Quite. Vancouver has a huge drug problem with associated anti social behaviour.

Quality of life isn't just dictated by income. If it was me it would be New York.
