Wait I have only understood the scale of this situation, so anyone who is say from the likes of malaysia or non-eu country who has done the entire mpharm programme is ok to do the pre-reg?
Anyone who has just completed a pre-reg as a OSPAP can't?

undergrads can do their pre reg since they can have IGS. its OSP students who cant go to that route since home office is not giving IGS for post graduate diploma courses
i was just curious if anyone can tell me if they r still asking ppl to come for an interview before OSPAP.
you are assuming that you can get a visa on time! my pre-reg starts on 20th of july, grad is on 23rd of july, only then you can apply for the PSW visa as the certificate should be submitted unless you can convince the home office why the certificate aint submitted, and you would not risk 500-700 quid and open yourself for a rejection. (IGS as what it was called until last year). then give it 4-6 weeks for home office to get back to you, unless you are lucky enough to book an appointment for premium service and pay 700 quid for that (all the dates are booked anyway). bear in mind that the last date to start your pre-reg is 14th of august in order to sit for june exam.
hence the system is not designed to deal with pre-regs as they never applied under it, since the profession was not in shortage and employer used to apply for tier 2/WP visa.
posting from lovely edinburgh! what a heaven this place is...........
well raoul, u can also apply for IGS as soon as u receive ur marks, although there is bit a paper work to follow but again u dont necessairly have to wait for ur graduation day or ur degree to apply for IGS.
Just realised this does not affect every one, if you are married and spouse has a work permit can get a spouse visa. But yes its getting tricky

Glad you realized how crazy it is. Would love to know what is required? You say not marriage..... Do you have to have known he for some time? Or can I go on holiday and bring back my new girlfriend/boyfriend?
I gues they also got something going for same sex couples now too...

not sure about details, shan can help us here, even tho he is a legitimate partner with a spouse visa. i went for some kebab last week and the guy who served me spoke english poorly, he was a nice guy tho, when i asked him how long has he been living here he answered 4 months he is with his partner, a polish lady he met in turkey( his country). so does not sound that you need to have a partner for years to get a spoude visa and enjoy all the no-restrictions in comparison with work permits......etc
your turn shan.....
i can say now i have been reading re immigration rules and visas more than all what i have read for pharmacy on my final year......
problem with this country is they have every single route available for someone who doesnt want to work over here coz he can get easy money through some loophole vs ppl who spend thousands of pounds on professional education and have to work their *** off to get a work permit for couple of years.
