    Talking Poor pay at sainsbury`s

I have just seen an advert for Sainsbury`s wanting an experienced dispensing technician preferably NVQ3 qualified for £6.89 an hour(at over 18)I know us tech`s are poorly paid in community but is this the worst paid job in the country and will anybody actually apply?!!!!

I recently took on 3 apprentices who will be doing the technician course. Two of them have been working free of charge for a national multiple in order that they may gain the required experience

In terms of working free of charge ... that is a double edged sword. My wife (for example) managed to get quite a good job because she worked for a company for one day a week to gain experience.

However, I can see this being an issue. Tony, in all honesty do you think that a similar situation will befall the pre-regs soon? I have heard off the grapevine that one multiple (large one) didn't take on many pre-regs because of a lack of vacancies and the work involved in training them up.
