    Welbutrin's availability in the UK

In Canada, Welbutrin has done an excellent job of controlling my severe depression for the better part of 15 years. I'm thinking of moving to the UK and not being able to get it would be devastating! According to this depression wiki, it isn't legal in the UK! Is there any truth to that?

No, it's not illegal, it's just not marketed here. Bupropion is available in the UK as Zyban, which is essentially the same product as Wellbutrin SR 150mg tablets. Zyban is only approved in the UK as an aid to smoking cessation, not for depression. This doesn't mean that doctors can't prescribe it for depression.... but they might not be willing to.
