Hi again. I know it seems like I'm going on about finding some voluntary work but I desperately need to gain more experience in a community pharmacy before I start a pre-reg next year. I've rang all the pharmacies in the yellow pages and visited around 20 pharmacies in person, but still no luck.
So if there is anyone in Nottinghamshire who can offer me 3-4weeks voluntary work or mention this to someone they know in Nottinghamshire I would be extremely grateful . I'm desperate. This post is my last hope for the summer.
They just say they don't need anyone at the moment. Out of about 50 places I rang 1 said if he wanted my help he would get back to me in a couple of days, but its been over a week now. I have tried two multiples in Nottingham, one said they have a summer student already but the other never got back to me after I sent my CV and covering letter.
Its the fact that people say that if you don't get a placement or work experience in a pharmacy during your uni days then you have no chance of getting a pre-reg. I don't want to be in position where I don't get a pre-reg and have to take a year out.

are pharmacists in the "Frozen wastes " more willing to accept someone willing to do some voluntary work?
I'm asking this because I'm a foreign pharmacist (already registered with the GPhC) and can't seem to find a pharmacy willing to accept me because I haven't got any previous job experience in UK (but how can I get some if nobody hires me ? ).
I've opened a thread in the Global Forum, but it doesn't seem to be very popular among the forum members (however I should thank johnep for his reply).
