    Abhu Dhabi

    Hello everyone,

My husband has the chance of engineering work in Abhu Dhabi so I was wondering if anyone knew anything about working as a Pharmacist out there. I am aware that there would be an examination needed and I believe Boots have stores out there.

I have four years community experience, 5 years experience working for an unlicensed medicines manufacturer and two years hospital manufacturing experience (my current role). I don't have a clinical diploma so I am not sure if this would hold me back.

    Any info is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Re: Abhu Dhabi

    Hi,

I stayed with a Scottish family in the UAE a few years ago, the lady worked as a marriage counsellor and told me that before any foreign national is allowed to work out there, they must have a company to sponsor them and I think pay a fee to the government. She also told me that women must have written permission from their husband to be allowed to work. This was in Dubai and from what I remember, Abu Dhabi is a bit more conservative, so womens' rights aren't exactly massive over there I'm afraid
