Hi guys. I've just finished my third year of the MPharm course and have started to apply for my pre-reg. I'm a bit worried that I might not end up getting a pre-reg place. I have limited experience in community pharmacy but this is the area I want to go into. I have been told by many that you are guaranteed a pre-reg place , but others have also told me its difficult to obtain a pre-reg. My question is are you virtually guaranteed a pre-reg or is it difficult to obtain one?
Sorry - can't answer this one 100%. But if its any relief - out of all my friends and acquaintances, I've never heard of anybody failing to get a pre-reg place. I was going to travel for a year, and decided about May that I wasn't. I got a pre-reg place within about 2 weeks of trying, for an August start.
Thanks Raju. I always thought that anyone could get a pre-reg place. Its just some people try and scare you by saying if you don't do this or that then you will not get a place. Can I ask you which company you did your pre-reg with. I've applied to all the big companies that everyone usually applies to but I think I will end up doing my pre-reg with an independent. Thanks
