am i right?- another formulation calc
Sodium bicarbonate BP is soluble 1 part in 11 parts of water. How much
water is required to dissolve the amount of sodium bicarbonate BP needed for
the preparation of 150 mL of alkaline gentian mixture BP? [2 marks]
we need 7.5mg Na2CO3 for this preparation.
I worked out:
1 part of sodium bicarbonate in 11 parts of water
means 1 g of sodium bicarbonate in 11 ml of water and therefore we will need 550ml of water for preparing 150ml of gentian mixture bp.
am i right?
