Omeprazole 20mg CAPSULES (are they???)

Was checking a nomad px today and a single omeprazole 20mg capsule fell out of the slot. No tweezers, so on picking up the capsule, instead of the expected loose pellets, it felt like a solid lump inside. Deciding to investigate further, I opened up the capsule, and to my amazement, contained within was an omeprazole 20mg tablet!

I have never seen this before! Was quite amused by this. The manufacturer was dexcel, if you want to check it out! (everyone else may know about this and its just me that was in the dark!)

Yea I noticed that too last year. Thought it was rather unusual formulation

yea noticed this awhile ago think its cheaper to make that way. would come in handy if script for tablets n u didnt stock them lol

Capsules are £1.62 (28) and tablets are £4.89 (28) it's amazing that they go to such lengths to reduce the price by 2 thirds.

I actually had a customer on the phone once telling me that the capsule contains a tablet and blissfully unaware that he was right i was trying to convince him that the capsules contain little pellets..! after he hung up i decided to investiage it myself.."oops".. thats what i though!
