Control of entry rules to remain unchanged....... for now?

Will PNA's be shelved or control of entry abolished?

I guess with the NHS reforms being critised nobody is keen to make any commitments. PNA's will probably be passed to GP consortia or local authorities (or both). (Although I am predicting an increase in pharmacies in surgeries and dispensing doctors if GP consortia go ahead)
The article mentions the cost of service enquiry as a reason for delay. The PSNC web site says (posted Jan 2010)
"PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has been appointed by the Department of Health and PSNC to conduct the inquiry, which is expected to report in April 2010. So far the inquiry is progressing well and to schedule."
So it's only a year behind already.
The longer they delay the cheaper pharmacy services will appear to be?
