    Making up suspensions

I was mking up an antibiotic suspension today and I got to thinking, how do you get
100ml of the suspension by adding a smaller amount of water eg 63ml?

All to do with displacement volumes, ie the volume of liquid a set quantity of antbiotic will displace - I presume you are a pre-reg or student ? If so then you'll come across them in calculations.
