I'm trying to sort out my CPD record. I don't have enough entries for last year ie. 9, although there are certainly a couple more entries I could do for last year.
But my question is, if I make these entries this year will the reviewer be able to see that they were not made in 2010 and that I in fact made them this year, even though I did the CPD in 2010?? (obviously you can put whatever date you actually identified the learning need, and this does seem to be the date of the record when it appears in the list)
I realise you now have to MAKE 9 entries minimum per year, but does that mean you actually have to write them in that year? I'm very worried I'm going to be in trouble for not meeting the CPD standards.
I had my CPD called last year. All I will say is, if you have 9 entries that were relevant to 2010 and you did them in 2010, it makes no difference when you enter them on the record. I hadn't had chance to record them during 2009 and recorded them all when my portfolio was called (2010). I had no issue after submitting them (late).
I also don't think you would be in trouble on a first late submission. I think they would/will help if you ask them (I had an extension - I asked)
My wife has had hers called this year. All done, but nothing written up in full.
