Not unless you were convicted or cautioned.

How about if a person comes into my pharmacy and askes me about cannabis and i give my view would that be a bad thing
Yes it would be bad. You have to be neutral. If you said you thought an illegal activity was OK, the first thing that the person caught out would say 'Oh the pharmacist said it was all right'.
You would then be charged with incitement to commit an illegal act. Then you could be struck off.

Having sex before the age of 16 is also an illegal act; do you refuse to sell condoms to someone who doesn't appear to be 16?
Ze genuine Article, present & perfect!
i think you should be free to come up with your own opinions and join whatever groups you want to join, but i don't think you would be able to put your opinions across whilst in the role of a pharmacist. tricky area!
...Although some pharmacist did get away with recommending homeopathy as malaria prophylaxis...

"Narcotics" have a certian taboo about them whereas "even the royal family are known for using homeopathy", so the two are quite diff. Some say ban on drugs is just a way of controlling the poor. If the poor were allowed drugs then they wouldn't really be productive would they.
anyway it would depend on the actions of the said organisations. e.g. if you are an active member and the organisation decides to go around streets and hand out free samples to the public the council wouldnt really look upon that so well.
Unless of course the royal family ....."Narcotics" have a certian taboo about them whereas "even the royal family are known for using homeopathy", so the two are quite diff.
This is similar to the contraceptives/catholic pharmacist problem. Having your own beleifs is one thing but you still have to allow others to make their own choices.
Except contraception is not illegal.
