Does MDS help patients adhere to their medicines???
Does MDS help patients adhere to their medicines???
if a patient doesn't want to take a tablet, it doesn't matter hwo you present it to the, they won't take it...an MDS will serve to prompt patients to take their tablets, or to remind them that their tablets are due (providing the box is in sight)
Putting them in a box doesn't always ensure a patient will take their tablets...may work for some but not all!
i guess that wud be the same for all compliance aids then
They are also useful for to remind carers what tablets have been given especially in the case of people with several carers.
They also provide a certain amount of protection for carers who are administering medicines but who are not medically qualified.
are ther any journals or studies that have been done to show patients are more/ less likely to adhere to meds wen mds is given
