The 'poor old locum' was doing her job. I doubt she was miserable, when Billy-loadsamates went for a giggle in spooktown. She was probably extremely glad you left her alone. I have no idea what Jesus would have done, although I doubt he makes a habit of clearing up supermarkets.

Can't think who would want to tidy up the clothes rails.

I don't know about being glad to see the back of me. She seemed to be happy enough to chat to me once I returned to the pharmacy.

Are you always so grumpy or do you have a hangover? Drink lots of fluids and take a couple of paracetamol.

And if Jesus could go out with the fishermen without getting on his dignity then I very much doubt that he would find it demeaning to give a hand to his colleagues in a supermarket.

I wasn't aware that helping out your friends / coworkers when you're sat there twiddling your thumbs doing nothing could be construed as weak or gullible! Especially if the pharmacist in question was helping out in a store which is locked with a guard on the door. And in all probability would have one of the manager phones in their pocket too, so they could be immediately contacted as the patient was let into the store.

But then of course, we are talking about the dispenser doing it. The pharmacist was probably playing cards with the security guard by the door.

I've come across some pharmacists who are unwilling to do anything apart from checking. I think this is a shame.

I get the feeling that everyone is getting the wrong end of the stick.. this thread seemed to start off with a genuine question, followed by some banter and then by bitching.. Why? there was no need for it..
