Here's what the quality press in Ireland thinks of the re-launch of the daily mail in Ireland in 2006. Whilst I realise this could be construed as sour grapes from The Irish Independent, I can assure you it isn't. The mail in Ireland is a rag...purely and simply.

They ran a story on Friday February 12th this year on the front page accusing pharmacists of ripping off patients over a private pricing issue. It isn't available on their website anywhere, which, having checked the site out, is heavily slanted towards neds, chavs and skangers anyway. Draw your own conclusions. It is glaringly obvious that they work one story against another, even internationally, for pure profit.
