    Is this the hub-and-spoke model?
Looks a good idea on paper for economies of scale.
I just wonder how resilient the system is.
A flu epidemic in the locality of the warehouse dispensary?
    Problem with transport infrastructure?

according to the article quote 'to fill many prescriptions at a service center in Tempe and send them back to local stores for customers to pick up. The goal is to allow pharmacists to spend more time talking to patients face to face'

is not a bad idea if everything goes smoothly, talk to and check with patient face to face every prescribed medicines. The problem is carers or representatives are coming in instead of patients. Patient confidentiality issue. Then you have to spend time to do the final check away from the carers or representatives while the carers or representatives are waiting before giving it out.
i am telling you about pharmacy life in practice, together with my personal opinions i think might be better for pharmacy practices

mmm. When did that ever happen for long.

I think the idea is that the final check is done in Tempe, wherever that is. Sounds like it ought to be staffed by temps!
    ....just my opinion

I think it is Tampa Florida. Florida good as no adjacent states.
