The SPC said that there was approximately 2ng/ml in the blood post-topical use. - doesn't seem a great deal compared to oral use of ketoconazole tabs for e.g.

simple pharmacokinetics: The amount of systemic absorption from topical application is proportional to the contact time.

Thus my advice to keep it on scalp for 5 mins max. see CSM advice on use of ketocanazole, to see whether it causes hepatotoxicity or not, dont take my word for it.

exactly laura - systemic absorption is minimal - the only way to get large amounts in the bloodstream from the shampoo is to walk around with ......

it might sound stupid to you, but someone suffereing from bad dandruff might actually do that.

and i actually worry about people in general

very true solly - i often think this job seems to be more about protecting people from themselves.

had a bad one the other day. fairly normal customer buys some nurofen plus for back pain off me. cleaners find empty packet a couple of hours later next to an empty bottle of whiskey.

sigh.
