Default Best Endorsement Printer

HI

not been on for a while!

but have a refit coming up next year so hope to participate much more!

so.... anyway..... my question is which endorsement printer is the best for quality and value for money when it comes to consumables!

i have been thinking about the star sp298 slip printer that a colleague has... is it any good?

your comments/feedback will be appreciated

thanks

SD use an Oki, Lds use a printer which would appear to have no other purpose other than being used for endorsement or perhaps printing cheques.

The Lds one (epson, I think) is rather noisy, temperamental, and requires a bit too much free space around it in my opinion...
I have fond memories of a Star laser dual label-printer/endorser...

You probably mean the SCP-700? Its a thermal/dot matrix printing combo.

Good workhorses, but the endorsement paper handling can become a little shifty after a while

Re. SCP700
We have around 3000 of these printers in our pharmacies; over the last five years we have found them to be the best for speed, reliability, and noise.

I find that a bic biro and a rubber stamp outperforms all the endorsing printers I have used - Then again I do know a lot about the drug tariff.
