    Pharmacy Manager - Emergency supplies

    Hi,

I'm not sure if this is a common issue or if it's just the way that the software is set up in my multiple. A pharmacist recently gave an emergency supply of 3 non-generic items, which should have cost the patient around £40 in total (as was displayed on screen). When the dispensing was finished and the bag label produced, the total price came out at around £21. The pharmacist went back on the computer to check if he had made an error, and the individual price of each item had dropped, yet he hadn't altered quantities etc. It was as though by pressing the Finish button (F12) on the last item, all the prices suddenly changed for no obvious reason.

Is there actually an obvious reason why this could have happened?

I can't remember the strengths, I think it was something along the lines of Cardicor 2.5mg, Olmetec 20mg & the 3rd might have been an inexpensive generic (possibly bendroflumethiazide). All 1*28. I take it this hasn't happened to you before with other combinationss?

OK, the amounts supplied were full packs of each product.
Also what version do you have - I'll check if we have the same one.

I'd have to check the version, but not to worry, I think I found the problem when I recreated the supply earlier today; the pharmacist misread the prices on the screen.

Two prices are displayed, the cumulative price for the 'script' so far, followed by the retail price of that item in brackets. He took the price on the left to be the retail price of that item (and the price in brackets to be trade). In other words, instead of (for example) £5 + £5 + £5, he got £5 + £10 + £15 so the final price (£15) was much lower than his quote (£30).

    Sorry to waste your time

    Not a problem.
I'll check out ES pricing and see if it confuses me.
