Leave the work queue window, and click on reports (left hand side of the screen). I haven't worked with smartscript for a while, but there was one that listed the patients by drug, and one that listed drugs by patient. I'm not sure if there is one to look at dispensed drugs in a cronological order, but in the reports sections would be the place to check.

There is also another possibility. In the work queue window, go to processed forms. You have to click where it says "processed", top left corner. You can look at the items by patient name there, it might be able to do it cronologically.

Many thanks.

Now have another problem with Lloyds system. had emergency supply and pressed f5 to put in type of script. However, could not find anything in the list presented. Any ideas?
Working at Lloyds next week and bound to be several ES.

I think there isn't an option for that one John, from my memory. As I recall, Lloyds system has the ability to mark an item as a loan, and we always did that for ES. I think you just select your drug, after you've finished the label, and then do Alt L.

Hope I remembered this correct, but others will probably know.

Yeah. You just write "EMERGENCY SUPPLY" on the label yourself. If I'm going to charge someone for the supply, I usually select it as a private prescription so that it tells me the cost of it too.

Private scripts are charged at cost x 1.5. However, ES are charged at 1.7625 as liable to VAT.

The place were I work charges £2.00 (which is non-refundable) and records them as emergency supplies. The quantity is then deducted from the next prescription. The charge, as explained up-front to the patient is an administrative charge. If the customer is on PMR and is not a regular, then only full emergency supply is offered.

The proprietor had to do this because for the first months after GP saturday closing all they did 'loan' after 'loan'.

John,
I used to do a lot of ES on Lloyds' PMR system:
F5, select "private Rx";
then choose your drug; then in the dosage instructions, type "EME", which is the shortcut code for ***EMERGENCY SUPPLY***; PMR will give you the price both ex vat and inc vat.
If you type in the sig code "LOAN", that's the shortcut code for "Emergency supply- script to follow" which I only ever used for local patients where I was sure I really would be getting a script later...
I hope I've remembered these correctly, I haven't used PMR since mid-october as Lloyds have rolled out their new Windows-based "Compass" system to all their stores in Wales since- and that's a completely different kettle of fish!!!!

When I worked in Milton Keynes the following rules were applied:
1) Loans only made against scripts we were to collect.
2) Where pt said would bring in script, then NHS charge made to be refunded when script arrived, entry in Private Script book amended at that time.
3) If from out of town, the full ES regs applied.
4) ventolins charged at £8 as some pts found ES charge less than NHS charge and took advantage. SD still only charge about £4.

Today did emergency supply for ventolin. Pressed f5 and got private script,
as soon as put in ventolin, price of £4 appeared. Put in EME to bring up "emergency suppl" but price did not vary. Tried other products and all were to be charged at 1.5 x trade. this means that lloyds are losing 17 1/2% VAT on each emergency supply.

That all depends on how it's been put through the till: if it's been rung through as a private Rx, then Lloyds won't have "lost" the 17.5% VAT, HM Customs & Excise will have...(or whatever the Tax department calls itself nowadays)
