Someone is claiming compensation from you scam.

So, a phone call from a call centre in a land far far away, a woman comes on saying that she wants to notify me that someone is claiming compensation from me after a car accident.

If I had had a car accident in the past few years I might have been taken in, but, fortunately, I haven't.

If they ring again, I'll string them along some more. Anyone any idea what their angle is?

May ask for your bank details, to help, "fight your case" or something. Either that, or they will say that have now managed to win the case, and can claim compensation from them, and will ask for your bank details so you can receive the money. I received a SMS message, saying I was entitled to 3 grand from a car accident, even though I haven't been in one for a year.
