I need a rant!

No ETP for five days and counting now.
Cegedim replaced the server today - made no difference and caused 2 hours of disruption.

Still at least we can dispense the old way for now.
Heaven help us when release 2 comes out - Image not being able to dispense for FIVE DAYS as cegedim are bobbins.

Re. Help: try Cegedim Rx Ltd

Nexphase will NOT run on Vista and there are problems around Internet explorer 7 so make sure your Microsoft Auto Updates don't upgrade this.

The single most effective performance boost can be by switching off all the fancy rounded corners on your screens. This takes huge resource.
Right click on "my computer", select "properties", navigate to "Advanced" and "Performance" and select "Adjust for best performance"

Hope this helps.

I thought that the CfH specifications required XP Pro. So the real question is...
Are any flavours of Vista allowable for ETP connection to the spline?

TIA

Your correct... however Microsoft are getting increasingly upset that their pride and joy (yeah right!) is getting snubbed by vendors and oem's alike so the likelihood is that new licenses will be removed from sale sometime next year. This means that we won’t be able to purchase any new hardware with XP pro on. Anything being developed has to take that into account.
Time they took a serious look at Linux... me thinks....

I'm going to be locuming in a branch that uses Pharmacy Manager which I've never used before. Was going to be working with a member of staff that knew the system but I've now been told that this person will unfortunately not be in on the day. Anyone know if there is an online manual anywhere or can give me some basic instructions (new pt/print/endorse etc)?

Have tried Locumtang but can't find it and I've little time to contact Cegedim.

Thanks for any help.

if it works the same as nextphase (same vendor) then the right ctrl key becomes your bestest friend in the whole wide world...

Have to input your reg nbr and a password to get started. Locum password etc usually in CD cupd.

Say no to all 'should have run etc', but allow three files need processing. PM is updated every night. Leave on welcome screen when switch off.

can input pts name as john smith or smith j.

Will sometimes find duplicates, can merge using bulk entry from tools menu.

Input nbr of items, then f6 to bring up history.

if get red interaction crosses click 'confirm' f12 to finish item.

endorsing screen-- click print with endorsing column to left of printer then click OK.

If you have had to suffer compass or smartscript will find vastly easier.

If item does not appear when input, then untick personal list top right.

Every item can be tailored with regard to what is actually dispensed and mode of automatic ordering.

When order checked off. Go to order screen, change to correct wholesaler and 'placed'. highlight each item.screen and press f8 to adjust stock level.

It is possible to adijust pts details and item stock level while labelling. Just go to details. Have to give reason from list for stock ie transferred to retail, stock count etc.

Best system I use regularly.

The terms of your locum agreement have therefore been changed.

I would suggest that gave you several options.

Accept these new terms, and hope that the software is a intuative as you hope, and hope that it enhances your reputation as a locum.

Change your rate to reflect the additional work involved.

Cancel the booking - as working on unfamiliar software without the previously agreed back up could put patients at risk.

YOU are responsible for your own working conditions - since you have accepted them - I wish you well. (but rather you than me)
