Is anyone out there still using Mediphase beside myself ? Fast, reliable, easily updated . If the conservatives scrap the NHS spine then it might have a future (again)

There is no doubt that Mediphase is the fastest way to produce large numbers of labels in a short time but I don't think it will ever make a comeback.
Although there may be cuts and cost savings in the NPfIT I don't think it will be enough to save Mediphase.
The extra functionality of modern systems makes up for the loss of speed.
We use Rxsystems Proscript which is probably as close to Mediphase as you will get.
I like proscript especially with the EPS - by the time it has brought the script up i have all the items ready
I forgot to add - our main system is Nexphase, it's been troublesome enough to warrant
updating the Mediphase system to produce labels whilst Nexphase is being resuscitated. I use the browse utility (in the pharm3 folder) to do it, once this utility is loaded then it's all plain sailing with bog standard Microsoft FoxPro programming (their first database program, acquired from Fox software in 1992) The great thing about both systems is that you can destroy the drug interaction data and go much more quickly as a result. Certainly Mediphase will never make a comeback but regrettably it's still very useful to me
