Opera 10 on a usb stick

I've just upgraded to Opera 10 on a usb stick as a webbrowser.
Opera@USB : EN : download your free version of mobile Opera:

It is fantastic. Blisteringly quick, and so many facilities. It even puts dotted red lines under my spelling mistakes here! And it will talk to me if I want. (Sad, I know)

For new users its all very quick and easy. Unfortunately the upgrade from 9.64 is a bit fiddly for the usb version, it took me 15mins, but its well worth it as I now have all my encrypted passwords, mail and chat settings transferred. And once I've done it, I just copy the folder to my other computers, as there is no installing. If you are upgrading, then read the forum advice to the end, particularly where it recommends that you start up the new version, then close it down, before copying the files across from 9.64. Update to Opera 10.x - Opera@USB - Main - Download and Changelog - Opera@USB
    ....just my opinion

    Whats the security like.
I'm always wondering what Explorer is gathering from my system?
Not that I have anything to hide, other than the usual personal bits like CVs, job applications, locum dates and household budget spreadsheet.
Where am I?; In the Pharmacy.
Who are you?; The new Number 2.
Who is number 1?; You are number 6.
    What do you want?;..................

More secure than anything else: all sites you go to are phishtested and you are notified if they have any reports . It stores all my various passwords encrypted by a master password. If you mean how much info they get on your surfing habits, no idea. It is free, so they must get some stats to sell. Ask on their forum.

I've discovered a few teething problems with opera10, mainly with youtube. And it still doesn't link with paypal too well. So IE for banking still, opera for all else.

Anyway, for the really security conscious, there is OperaTor - Opera + Tor. Surf anonymously | Arche Twist

OperaTor combines the speed and security of Opera 9.5, with TOR, a worldwide network set up by those who wish to block traffic analysis, and Polipo, a proxy web cache which disguises your location.

Its the browser of choice for all those who need to cover their tracks, from Iran, China, etc., and will also run from a stick.

OperaTor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm happy with operausb, using hotspot shield as appropriate.

I have opera 10 - I love the turbo function but it doesn't work on an orange GPRS connection. I've looked on the net but no mention of it.
When I turn the trubo on I get a bad gateway error.

If the above makes no sense then you probably won't know the answer!

    There is

    But
Depends on what outputs your laptop has and what inputs your TV has.

Not very helpful I know. If you have a newish LCD or PLASMA screen then its quite likely - If you have an old TV you've got less chance of it being possible with just a cable.

If your TV has a "VGA" input then its really easy. You need a VGA to VGA cable, change the input on your TV to the VGA input then press Fn+F5 on your laptop a few times.
    It should now work.
But now spend ages in Windows>control panel> display trying to get it to look right!
    A reboot may help.

If this doesn't make any sense - PM the make and model number of both your laptop and TV and I'll google the instruction manuals for them and see if its going to be possible.
