Unread Posts

Hello everybody,

I only recently signed up as you can see and I'm loving the interesting talk that goes on here but I'm finding the unread posts indicators a little confusing.

Sometimes after I've read the new posts in a thread it still shows up that there's more to be seen and when I go back its not because of any new posts. I'm not sure much if anything can be done and I'm not trying to be negative I just wanna know what's going on so I can get on with reading the new stuff

Always click on New Posts.

They are the post that are new since your last visit. Even if you read them they are still new since your last visit .

I'm not sure much if anything can be done

Once you log on regularly it goes down to manageable proportions just work you way down the forums an see a few new postings in each.

Also, if you go to "quick links" you can "mark forums read" which will completely clear the decks up to the present moment.

My bookmark is set to bring me to "new posts," and I log in there.
